“There’s a greater mission, there’s a higher calling than just growing food and selling it…To have some values and some mission behind reaching out to the community and providing a space for good things to happen. What I’ve seen at Pequog is that it’s open. Whenever I’ve been there, I felt like it was an open place. It wasn’t just there for the Nipmuc. It was there for everybody. Focused on supplying, producing traditional foods, and supplying the Nipmuc community. But not exclusively, they reach out to the whole community as well.”
